STEEL CUT OATS (Gluten Free)
These are whole grain oats, which are closest to their original form. The groat is cut into several pieces with a steel blade, hence the name.
Steel-cut oats are traditionally used to make porridge, as well as oat cakes. However, they take longer to cook than instant, ground, or rolled Oats, typically 15–30 minutes for porridge (or about half this time if pre-soaked).
Origin of our rolled Oats
Our Oats come from pesticide free farms of Srilanka. These Oats are then washed, dried and further processed under desired temperature and pressure.
Steel cut oats could be considered a "complete food" because they are an excellent source of protein, soluble and insoluble fibre and select vitamins and minerals.
Steel cut oats, just as any whole oats, make a healthy addition to your regular diet.
Steel- cut Oats are rich source of dietary fibre, protein, calcium, vitamins which strengthens digestion and immunity.
How to serve?
· Soak them in boiling water overnight so that you can cook these oats for 5-8 minutes in the morning.
· Cook them in boiling water/ milk uncovered, stirring occasionally for about 15-20 minutes until desired texture is achieved
· Add honey/ sugar as per taste. Toss nuts or fruits to enhance the taste.
